Useful things to send: a correction with a source, a legacy foundrynet.com URL that redirected to the wrong subject, a broken internal link, a procedure that did not work on your platform and release (say which), or a suggestion for a page the reference is missing.

Things this address cannot help with: obtaining Foundry or Brocade firmware, documentation PDFs or support (the site does not hold them; see the acquisition page for where the product lines went), buying or valuing hardware, or configuring your network for you.

There is no contact form on purpose: no form means nothing to submit, nothing to store and nothing to leak. Messages are read by a person and deleted when resolved.

Corrections. The most useful correction names the page, quotes the sentence that is wrong, says what is right and points to where that can be checked: a release note, an RFC, a dated manual or a transcript from your own device. A correction that arrives with a show version line from real hardware is worth more than any number of recollections, because the platforms and software trains varied so much. Accepted corrections are applied with a dated note on the page and credited by first name if you want the credit.

Dead legacy links. The site exists largely so that old Foundry addresses land on the right subject. If an address from a bookmark, a wiki or a forum thread lands on the wrong page or on the error page, send the full old address exactly as it appears, including anything after a question mark, and say what the document used to be about. That is usually enough to add a specific redirect.

What happens to your message. Your address and message are used only to reply and to act on the report, then deleted; the privacy policy sets that out with the rest of what the site does and does not collect. Nothing you send is published unless you ask for it to be, and no reply will ever try to sell you anything.

Quoting and reuse. Requests to reproduce more than a short passage, or to translate a guide, are welcome at the same address; the conditions are in the terms of use and copyright note. The about page explains who edits the site and why it was relaunched.
