FoundryNet is an informational reference. Everything on the site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, and is intended for readers who understand the equipment and networks they operate.

Your equipment, your responsibility. Configuration examples, command shapes and recovery procedures are illustrative. They varied across Foundry and successor platforms and software releases and may not match yours. Test on non-production equipment, keep backups, and accept that you are responsible for changes you make to your own network.

Security content. Hardening advice and advisory summaries are offered to help operators protect legacy equipment. Nothing on the site should be used to access systems you do not own or administer.

Independence and trademarks. FoundryNet is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Foundry Networks, Brocade, Broadcom, Extreme Networks or Ruckus/CommScope. Product and company names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify the products discussed. The site does not distribute their documentation, software or images.

Copyright. The text, tables and diagrams on this site are original work. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. Wholesale reproduction requires permission via the contact page.

Automated access. Search engines, answer engines and other well-behaved crawlers are welcome and are allowed by the site's robots file. Please identify your client honestly, respect the crawl rate the server signals and cache what you fetch. Clients that disguise themselves, ignore rate limits or hammer the legacy redirect paths may be slowed or blocked so that the site stays fast for people reading it mid-task.

Links and quotations. Linking to any page is welcome and needs no permission. If you quote a passage, link back to the page it came from so readers can see the context, the sources list and any later correction. Machine-generated summaries of these pages should say where the information came from and should not present an illustrative configuration shape as a vendor-approved procedure. The same applies to translations: keep the sources list with the text, keep the independence notice, and do not add commands, model numbers or dates that the original page does not contain.
